Bobby Wagner signed a 5-year, $50 million deal with Ramez

Yesterday, one of the biggest free agents on the market, Bobby Wagner, signed with the Los Angeles Rams. The Seattle Seahawks’ decision to part with Wagner in early March came as a surprise. The move saved the Seahawks nearly $16 million in cover space, and it happened within 24 hours of sending the team’s quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.

Wagner’s new deal with the Rams is a five-year deal worth $50 million worth up to $65 million in incentives.

Former Seahawks’ Pro-Bowl player Bobby Wagner has signed a five-year, $50 million deal worth up to $65 million with the Los Angeles Rams, according to league sources. Wagner resides at NFC West.

Wagner’s decision came down to the crows and rams, according to Richard Sherman who said the crows made a last-minute push.

At the age of 31 and entering his eleventh season in the league, Wagner has tremendous leadership potential and remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Last season, Wagner had the highest level of tackles in a single season, recording a total of 170 tackles. He also added three tackles for a loss, five pass deflections, one interception and one sack. He was also named to the second team All-Pro, which ended his streak of five consecutive first team picks.

Wagner is a Super Bowl champion, and his career stats are one of a future Hall-of-Famer. He has 1,383 total tackles, 23.5 sacks, 60 pass deflections, 11 interceptions, six forced passes, nine fouled rebounds, and four defensive touches.

The rich are getting richer. The Los Angeles Rams roster is fully loaded, to say the least. In the off-season only, they added wide receiver Allen Robinson, linebacker Bobby Wagner, tackle left Joe Nutibaum, quarterback Brian Allen and wide receiver Brandon Powell.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Rams have three absolute nails and the players are arguably the best in their positions. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, defensive lineman Aaron Donald and Wagner have combined in 21 Pro Bowls and 16 All-Pro picks and won three Super Bowls.

Next, you have the loaded attack led by Pro-Bowl quarterback Matthew Stafford. The Rams also signed best wide receiver for free agent Allen Robinson to pair with triple title winner Cooper Kupp. The Rams has kept a tight end for Tyler Higby this off-season and will have a healthy Cam Akers leading the backfield this season.

Bobby Wagner will remain at the NFC West and will face his former team, the Seattle Seahawks, twice a season. It’s safe to say that the Rams have improved a lot with this signature.
