Calabria Haskins, wife of the late Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and former Ohio State star Dwayne Haskinshas issued a statement after her husband Sudden death Saturday morning after being injured By truck on a highway in South Florida.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every loving spirit who has supported our family during this difficult time of loss,” Haskins’ Calabria statement read in part. “Outrageous thoughts and prayers have been the fuel for our emotional drain. All of your blessings have been greatly appreciated and appreciated. The meaningful touch and impact that Dwayne made as husband, son, brother, teammate and friend is a timeless treasure ingrained in our group of hearts, I truly express my appreciation to everyone who has stood by By our side as we mourn his sudden passing.Our family beseeching your incessant prayers, with respectful privacy continuing as we grieve painfully.
“My husband was more than just a great soccer player. He had a rainbow smile that touched the diversity of so many. He will forever rest and stay in our hearts until the end of time. A celebration of Haskins’ life is scheduled for April 22nd at Allegheny Center Alliance Church in Pittsburgh.
As Calabria Haskins mentioned in her memoir, her husband has touched the hearts of many. Ohio State coach Ryan Today reflected on his memories with the previous Buckeyes signal caller during that too Emphasizing the legacy that Haskins left in Columbus earlier this week.
“I got together with the team today and we talked about a lot of things,” Day said. “There’s a good group of guys that have played with Dwayne, and they’re getting hurt. “It’s hard to wrap your mind around something like this, especially when it happened so tragically to a young man and someone who had such a big heart.”
The The Florida Highway Patrol told CBS Miami that Haskins was walking on”Facilitating limited access for unknown reasons Interstate 595 before it was hit and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:37 a.m. local time.
