Gilbert Burns recently gave fans some thoughts on his future in the division. He brought up Nate Diaz’s name as a potential opponent in his next fight.
While in conversation with Daniel Cormier and Ryan Clark DC & RC Show for ESPN MMADurinho admitted that fighting him would be a great swansong for a veteran like Diaz, who is currently in one fight over his UFC contract.
In an effort to make the deal sweeter for Diaz, he offered to put an unusual clause in their contract that would prevent him from wrestling and promised to side with the Stockton native.
In addition to Diaz, Burns also offered to fight his brother Nick Diaz and even Jorge Masvidal.
“I want a big fight, you know. Maybe, I know that name is always on the back of my head, it’s scary Nate Diaz. There’s still another fight in the UFC. I can put it into the decade that I’m not going to shoot that guy that we’re gonna be On standby.Maybe his brother [Nick Diaz]. I do not know maybe [Jorge Masvidal]. “

Gilbert Burns wants to finish the second leg against Khamza Shemayev
In a recent interaction with TMZ Sports, Gilbert Burns revealed his envision for the final rematch with Khamees Shemayev. Durinho admitted that the only way to put an end to this rivalry was for one to secure a termination over the other within the Octagon.

Chemayev and Burns recently had a showdown at UFC 273 with Chemayev winning a close decision win. The fight took place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 9, Saturday.
Burns immediately asked the UFC and “Borz” himself to offer him a rematch. The Brazilian claimed that he offered Shemayev the compliment of his fight when he ranked much higher. Hence, he expects the 27-year-old to treat him the same courtesy and agree to a rematch, this time for five rounds..
