How to Watch 2022 NBA Play-In Tournament on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more on April 12

After 82 grueling games, the 2021-2022 NBA regular season is finally coming to an end, and 8 teams, four from each conference, are looking to compete in the 2022 NBA Play-In Championship to secure one of the last four post-season spots.

Founded in 2020, the NBA Play-In Tournament has become polarizing among NBA fans because teams with a record well below 0.500 have a chance of making the post-season. Originally, during the short 2019-2020 season, the match was between 8 and 9 seeds. To qualify, teams must be within four games of each other, and if the eighth seed wins, they advance to the post-season; However, if the ninth seed wins, he will go into a second match where the winner advances.

The format changed to its current format during the 2020-2021 season. Under the new format, the tournament qualifiers were expanded to include seeded 7-10. Seeds 9 and 10 play in a single elimination game where the loser goes home. Seeds 7 and 8 face off, and the winner gets the seventh seed, and the loser plays the winner in a game of 9/10 for the eighth seed.
