Today, Bruce Willis lives in Los Angeles with his wife Emma Heming Willis. But he previously owned several homes on one estate in Turks and Caicos.
According to Architectural Digest, Willis purchased 7.37 acres of land in Turks and Caicos in 2000, and completed the complex in 2004 on Parrot Cay, an island spanning 1,000 acres. Parrot Cay contains only about ten homes.
The main house has five bedrooms and over 5,000 square feet of space on each of its floors. The open floor plan allows those in the house to move easily between indoor and outdoor living spaces. The master suite has a large private balcony, and two of the guest rooms have their own sun terraces. The entire property, including the guest houses, has 12 bedrooms.
Additional amenities include a pirate ship-style children’s playground, four swimming pools, a beach volleyball court, and butler service. Additionally, Travel & Leisure reports that the homes have more than 1,000 feet of private beaches and their own peninsulas.
Who Bought Bruce Willis Homes in Turks and Caicos?
While Bruce Willis’ homes in Turks and Caicos were unique, he did not keep them. Architectural Digest reports that Emma Heming Willis has moved to Los Angeles, putting the home on the market.
“Over the past 20 years, we’ve made so many beautiful memories on the island,” Willis and Hemming Willis told Architectural Digest. “We fell in love and got married there, enjoyed two little bands on the Caye, and renewed our vows on our beach.”
So, who bought Bruce Willis homes – and how much? The Wall Street Journal reported that Mark and Robin Jones, founders of Goosehead Insurance, bought the property for $27 million in 2019. Willis originally listed the homes for $33 million.
Jones did some of the rebuilding themselves, adding a walkway connecting the main house, suite, and guest houses. But now they’re also selling the property, with the family spending more time in Montana in a larger complex. They listed the Turks and Caicos properties for $37.5 million.
Where did the actor live in New York City?
Aside from the Turks and Caicos properties, where did Bruce Willis live in New York City? The action star had a country estate in Bedford Corners, New York, according to Homes and Gardens. It is located just 40 minutes from downtown Manhattan and has an area of approximately 9,000 square feet. The property has four detached homes, two garages, a saltwater pool, tennis court and a pool house.
Unfortunately, Willis sold the property for less than the price he asked for. He sold the property in 2019 for $7.66 million, at the original asking price of $12.95 million.
