Michelle Williams teased the possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion, describing the band’s continued popularity as “kinda cool.”
The singer, 42, and bandmates Beyoncé Knowles, 40, and Kelly Rowland, 41, haven’t released an album together in nearly two decades, since Destiny Fulfilled in 2004.
The trio disbanded two years later and were reunited several times in subsequent years, most recently when Beyoncé topped Coachella again in 2018.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the women to get back together and fix the band, as Michelle raised the possibility that they might do so recently.
When asked if there was a chance of a meeting, she recently told the New York Post that while it was “never talked about” between them, she doubts it will ever happen.
“When the time comes, the conversation will come naturally in some way. We have fun together when we decide to work with each other in that capacity,” she said.
Michelle said she doesn’t think her former bandmates are “opposing” the reunion, but noted that it’s just a case of finding “the right opportunity” for it.

She further commented in the interview, “We haven’t released an official album together in 17 years and the questions to be asked now are really kind of cool.”
The singer said asking such questions after all these years makes her “reflect” the impact the band has had on the world and the music industry.
Michelle – who joined the group in 2000 after the departures of Latvia Roberson and Litoya Lockett – revealed that she, Beyoncé, and Kelly had group talks.
During a recent interview, Michelle was asked about the chemistry and brotherhood shared by the trio – who are Destiny’s Child’s best known lineup.
She said there was “true love” between the two women, calling Beyoncé and Kelly “soulmates” — even more than a decade after the group broke up.
Over the course of their career, the band has won numerous awards including three Grammy Awards and is considered one of the best-selling female bands of all time.
