Tom Parker from The Wanted is too weak to sing in the final performance as bandmate Siva takes over

Most wanted Tom Parker delighted fans when he took to the stage during his last performance with the band in Liverpool on March 17, two weeks before his tragic death.

Despite battling brain cancer at the time, Tom joined his bandmates on stage as he sat on the throne to perform the group’s songs Glad You Came and Gold Forever at the M&S Bank Arena.

The band backed Tom, who was so weak at singing, that Siva Kaneswaran, 33, picked up her vocals while Nathan Sykes, 28, never left his side during what would be their last time together on stage.

During the performance, fans saw a frail Tom joining the boys on stage as he sounded emotional and directed his microphone at the audience who sang songs to him.

As reported in The Mirror, Nathan and Siva stuck by the singer for Gold Forever, and Max George and Jay McGuinness headed off the stage and onto the main stage to thrill the crowd.

Max and Jay later join Tom and sing glad you came to him, which had touching words: “The sun is setting, the stars are out. All that matters is here now. My universe will never be the same. I’m glad you came.”

The rest of the band supported Tom by wearing sunglasses, as the singer chose to wear shades after his eye was forcibly closed due to a grade 4 brain tumor.

Joined by his bandmates, the musician sat on the podium for her hit singles Glad You Came and Gold Forever.

Bathed in love and support from his biggest fans – his adorable wife Kelsey and their children Aurelia, two and Buddy, one – who were there to cheer him on in the audience, Tom was showered with love and support.

The touching video of Tom’s recent performance was shared on YouTube, and fans took to the comments section to praise him for his courage and strength, despite his deteriorating health.

One wrote: “Seeing this is so heartbreaking. Seeing him sick is awful. At least he’s no longer in pain. But I’m so sad he’s gone.”

Another fan added, “What a warrior Tom would have been on stage with his bandmates here despite his poor health. Nice to see Siva and Nathan sticking to him too while Max and Jay swell with the crowd at the front.”

A third said, “It was hard for Max to get over this. You can really see the brothers. Tom must have been a really good guy for the world to get hurt by losing. RIP Tom.”

The singer, who was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in 2020, was forced to pull out of a series of demanding gigs, including a Glasgow show at OVO Hydro, after he was too weak to walk.

He then traveled to Spain to receive revolutionary treatment in a private hospital on the Costa del Sol.

After returning to England, Tom joined his band on tour, supporting them behind the scenes as well as making a brief appearance on stage.

Max described him as a “hero” in what was unknown to them at the time, as Tom’s last show.

Max shared a black and white snapshot of the two of them, writing: “It’s been an epic few weeks… One last show, my boy… You’re a real champion. I can’t wait for the next round with you… Liverpool… Can you hear us???!”

In another post, he shared a photo of the boys sitting around Tom sitting on the throne with a big smile on his face.

“We did it. comparkerofficial.. you did it! All I can say in words is thank you for making such beautiful memories over the past few weeks.

“I love all of you stuck with us. May our hearts be as full, as our drinks tonight, may we sing and dance till we lose our minds, we are young only if we seize the night, tonight we have the night.”
